Human Rights Commissars Defame Bible
as Hate Literature

by Jane Gaffin

Canadians are supposed to be able to enjoy the long-established fundamental freedoms of conscience, religion, thought, belief, opinion, expression and the press, as reiterated in sec. 2(a)(b) of the Constituional Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

But the Charter and Holy Bible are no defense when special interests sink their claws into sinners and go whining to a human rights commission that their feelings were hurt.

For starters, the non-Charter-proofed human rights codes are unjust and unfair in the sense of encroaching on freedoms and civil rights. The Orwellian tribunals, staffed with commissars, suppress truth, ignore any semblance of morality and are dangerously far from impartiality in rulings.

The forum is a haven stacked in favour of complainants whose costs are paid by the commissions (read taxpayers), while defendants must foot their own bills. (This is called "double jeopardy in law.) Not exactly an equalized program.

The commissars treat every allegation as one of discrimination and hate and latch onto every opportuity to defame the Bible as hate propaganda. To these nihilists, simply citing biblical references is unlawful. Never mind reciting the whole passage.

It leaves the Bible and the Christian religion vulnerable to being outlawed by Kanuckistan's Leftist political activists. Above and beyond the lofty sham of defending minority rights, complainants smell money.

A Saskatchewan resident should be applauded for not apathetically remaining silent when his Christian values were under attack. Upon seeing an ad celebrating a forthcoming Gay Pride Week, Hugh Owens responded with his own ad in the reputable Saskatoon Star-Phoenix in 1997.

A red circle was drawn around two stickmen holding hands and a diagonal line drawn through it. The art was like any other universal signage denoting prohibition of firearms, smoking, parking, loitering, eating, sneezing, thinking...

Out from the stickmen was an equal = sign that led the eye to four biblical references. Only the chapters and verses were cited. The reader would have to crack open the Bible to find the full passages that condemn homosexuality as sinful.

I'll save you the trouble.

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." Leviticus 18:22 continues in 20:13. "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

"Do you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?" asks 1 Corinthians 6:9. "...neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts."

Here's a gem from Romans 1:26-27. "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passion. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error."

No wonder great civilizations collapsed throughout millennia. Homosexuality defies all laws of nature. The parts don't fit. A male and female have to couple to replenish a species.

As could be expected, three self-professed sex deviants--Gens Hellquist, executive director of Saskatoon's Gay and Lesbian Health Services, along with Jason Roy and Jeff Dodds--lodged complaints against the ad-buyer and the newspaper with the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission in August, 1997.

It was the same tedious saw about the ad affronting their dignity, hurting their feelings and damaging their self-respect. Hey, they damaged their own dignity and self-respect when they unabashedly confessed to their sexual behaviour which should have been kept a private matter.

The commissars ruled to the effect that, Thou shalt not heap hate literature and ridicule on these three wise men who knowingly were upholding the Communist Manifesto in their bid to destroy the traditional family values.

In other words, the anti-Christ "human rights code" was violated, although it ostensibly recognizes freedoms of expression and religion...when it's convenient.

When the universal symbol for "disallow" was combined with the biblical passages, the commissars found that the ad would tend to expose homosexuals to hatred, ridicule or otherwise affront their dignity on the basis of their sexual orientation.

The poor darlings. It was ruled that each would receive an arbitrary amount of $1,500 for damages from Owens who was ordered to refrain from re-publishing the ad or producing bumper stickers. Now, the commissars want to be consulted before handicap-parking notices are pasted on vehicles. In this specific case, the trio was more equal than Owens.

To add insult to injury, in 2002, the Saskatchewan Court of Queen's Bench's reasoning defied the law of logic in upholding the commissars' ruling.

While the human rights code, like the courts, is supposed to protect freedom of religion and expression, the lower court judge ruled that the four ancient biblical passages cloaked behind the citations express hate.

Using the circle and the slash combined with the passages of the Bible exposes homosexuals to detestation, villification and disgrace, the judge said. "(T)he Biblical passages which suggests that if a man lies with a man they must be put to death exposes homosexuals to hatred."

The homos, who stole perfectly good English dictionary words like "gay", "pride" and "queer" can get by with branding opponents as "homophobics", "hatemongers", "bigots" and other choice names. But it's considered "hate" to quote from the Bible which declares homos are "perverts" and "sinphiles" in the eyes of God and polite society.

It speaks volumes that homosexuals were persecuted by the Nazis who detested Communism. Adolf Hitler thought of homosexuals as a scourge on the perfect society he was trying to create and shipped them off to concentration camps--not so much because they spread vermin of the body but because they were believed to be mentally diseased as supporters of communism.

In April, 2006, the Saskatchewan appeal court in Regina overturned the two previous decisions with its half-baked ruling that did uphold freedom of religion, expression and speech as found in the Charter. The appeal court didn't find Owens' ad to be "extremely" hateful, just a little bit "hateful"--sort of akin to being a little bit pregnant.

The judges put the ad into historical context. It probably wouldn't be "allowed" to be published today, in the wake of same-sex marriage, child adoption, pensions and gay rights debated ad nauseam in Parliament and sanctioned on-high by Kanuckistan's top court.

The judges didn't explain who exactly is doing all this "allowing" and "disallowing".

The Christian ad-buyer can continue expressing his views for now, according to the Saskatchewan appeal court ruling. But politicians vying for votes, judges, publishers, editors, writers and society have been blindly swayed toward political correctness while dangerously shunning the Charter, plus the Bible which actually represents the foundation for all rights, freedoms and liberties.

Gay rights are an affront to traditional family values. Even Lenin knew that destroying the family will destroy a country which is where the crux of this exercise lies. Society is keen to be led like lambs to slaughter into a One-World Order of religion and government.

No, thanks. A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced because they love their servitude, so sayeth Aldous Huxley.

H.L. Mencken loved liberty too but not enough to thrust it down somebody else's throat. "It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty--and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies," wrote the pithy newspaper columnist.

If Canadians want to ensure that the Bible and dictionary remain on the bookshelf and aren't tossed on a pyre reminiscent of the Nazis' Berlin book-burning frenzy of 1933, they must fight to protect these books.

A cultural war is brewing. Presently, a lot of special interests are running around with lit matches.

Christians are having to watch their backsides when citing four references publicly from the Bible. How long before the numbers of references increase and the entire Bible is banned as fire-starter?

Already, Bibles have been snatched from hospital bedside tables as offensive to non-Christians. Next, ministers will be dragged from the pulpits and badge-bearing, gun-packing thugs will ransack private dwellings without warrants, seizing the family Bibles and dictionaries. The bibliophiles will be hauled off to jail to face criminal charges for possessing trashy propaganda.

Next on the list is the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which could be called the Charter of Limitations. The document is supposed to limit what the government can do to its people. A collectivist, Marxist-minded government doesn't like the restrictions.

The rights, freedoms, liberties of America and Canada are based on nearly 800 years of British law that was founded on the principles and morality of the Bible. Both testaments have withstood the test of time.

If Christendom should be forced to watch the Bible go up in smoke, the Marxists can immediately revoke the Constitution and its Charter without fuss. Then the masses would have to bend to the Communist Manifesto.

Mother Earth, otherwise known as the Greek goddess, Gaia, would rise as the Supreme Being of worship and dethrone the gods of every organized religion. The United Nations has been cranking out these warped agendas for decades.

The gay rights is another disguise as an anti-Christ, anti-capitalist, anti-American, anti-family, anti-breathing movement to brainwash the unsuspecting masses into accepting a world-wide communist regime without a whimper or question.

One place to start is to abolish the traditional family unit which Karl Marx and Frederick Engels viewed as chaining a woman to her husband. The mantra claims the traditional family unit dampens imagination, curbs free will and is a spawning ground of lies, betrayals, mediocrity, hypocrisy and violence--as though same-sex unions don't meet the same criterion.

The gay advocates are not necessarily sexual deviants but are political Leftists, eager to jump on board any new bandwagon without thought to the consequences when the noisy drum-thumping stops.

As far as I'm concerned, homosexuals can do what they want to do on their own time and dime, preferably in a closet or bedroom--but leave principled people out of the hoop. Don't expect the moral majority to give up their Bibles, freedoms and fork over the money to pay for the trip to a promised land of One-World Government.

I say enter the gateway to victory by first torching the human rights code and firing all the commissars.
